DJ Customer Appreciation Party! Wednesday, Feb. 10th @ 6:30pm. We appreciate 25 years of support from Mobile DJs!

Top of the Riv @ The Riviera Hotel, Las Vegas_(During MBLVX – Must have MBLVX badge to get in)_Hosted by Sparky B and featuring DJ Kool and other guest DJs.

BE APART OF HISTORY WITH A SPECIAL WEDDING AT THE ADJ CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PARTY! Most people today have a DJ at their wedding, but Jimmie Hontz, Jr. and Rachel Welch have done one better; they”ll have about 500 DJs on hand when they tie the knot in Las Vegas February 10th. The Gardner, Kansas couple will be saying “I Do” before a minister at the American DJ Customer Appreciation Party held atop the Riviera Hotel and Casino during the annual Mobile Beat trade show.

“We appreciate our customers; they”re like family to us,” said Scott Davies, General Manager of the Los Angeles-based company. “We’re very happy to show our appreciation for Jimmie and Rachel by hosting their wedding.”

Jimmy and Rachel met when Jimmy DJed at her son’s high school graduation party. Since then, DJing has become a family affair – Jimmy, who has been a DJ for four years, is responsible for Rachel making a career change from school bus driver to DJ about a year and a half ago, learning the ropes from her fiancé.

Jimmy’s daughter Kaela and Rachel’s son Shawn, who will be standing for their parents at the wedding, represent the next generation of DJ’s, as both teens are following in their parent”s footsteps -Kaela has been DJing with her father for two years and Shawn is starting to learn the business. In addition to Kaela and Shawn, the couple has four other children between them, including two who are currently serving in the armed forces. In celebration of Jimmy and Rachel’s marriage, American DJ will supply cake and champagne for their reception, as well as present the couple with a wedding gift of DJ lights and audio gear.

The largest supplier of DJ gear, American DJ has been holding its industry party at the Mobile Beat show for almost 10 years. The party, which draws around 500 guests, has become one of the signature events of the Mobile Beat trade show. “We”ve had a lot of things happen at our party over the years, but this is the first wedding,” said Davies. “With all these DJs at the reception, Jimmy and Rachel certainly won”t have to worry about having enough music – or fun. We wish them the best.”

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has reorganized the UHF television spectrum, which is also used by many wireless microphones, wireless in-ear monitors, wireless production intercom systems, and other professional wireless audio and video equipment. The spectrum between 698 and 806 MHz—known as the “700 MHz band”—has been reserved for exclusive use by Public Safety agencies and licensed wireless service providers.

The FCC has ordered that wireless microphones, in-ear monitors, and related equipment must cease operations in the 700 MHz band (698–806 MHz) after June 12, 2010, or earlier under certain conditions. This rule change does not apply to wireless systems that operate in other frequency ranges—only systems that operate on frequencies between 698 and 806 MHz are affected.

The order applies to all wireless system users regardless of whether the user holds an FCC license. The order also requires microphone users to cease operations in specified 700 MHz frequencies within 60 days upon receipt of a notice from a wireless carrier or public safety entity authorized to use the spectrum, or, alternatively, within 60 days of the release of an FCC Public Notice specifying that certain 700 MHz frequencies are no longer available for wireless system use in a particular market.

For assistance with checking if your wireless is affected and how to take advantage of the rebates out there, feel free to give us a call. We will be more than happy to assist you.

Roy Cochran, worship pastor & mentor with 20 years experience on church staffs, joins the CBC Technical team as our “Church Relations and Support” point person.

LA, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, San Diego Counties – May 11th, 2009:

Roy Cochran – Church Relations & Support – CBC Technical

When it comes to providing effective support it’s hard to beat the combination of experience and relationships. Roy Cochran brings both to CBC having served the last 20 years vocationally as a worship pastor in Southern California on staffs of both mega churches and small community churches. Roy continues to serve the local church through the ministry of Worship Foundations International as a pastor and mentor to worship leaders, artists and musicians. As his calling is to strengthen and encourage them spiritually, he can now, with the huge support and backing of CBC Technical, ADDITIONALLY support and serve them by taking care of their technical needs with better pricing and years of experience to draw on. While it’s true that serving as a worship pastor or technical director at a church, you concern yourself mainly with spiritual matters, the truth is that you additionally have the RESPONSIBILITY of the technical advancement, support and maintenance for your church, ON A WEEKLY BASIS! Whether it’s running out of 9 volt batteries, ordering a roll of board tape, replacing that mic that has been going out, or designing the new system for the new facility or build out, we are CONSTANTLY having to deal with the technical needs of our churches. With the relationship with CBC, we can now support you spiritually and technically.

The combination of CBC Technical’s professional experience, size and the ability to provide the BEST pricing one can get as dealers of the industry’s best gear with Roy’s experience and relationships with those serving in houses of worship allows us to serve and support you with incredible effectiveness and efficiency at the right price with the right gear. For churches and other non-profit organizations, CBC Technical provides additional discounts on their already low prices.

Schedule an appointment to have Roy come out to meet you and learn about what is going on at your church. He will be able to bring some demo gear from some of our vendors like SHURE, EV, and AUDIX for you to check out.
